A modern, lightweight content management system for author David Andrew Wardle, showcasing his books and giving him a place to share new writing.

The brief was to give an author a home on the web that he could run himself: somewhere to showcase his published books and post new content, without the bloat of a traditional CMS.
The site is built with Next.js and TypeScript, backed by Prisma and PostgreSQL. Behind the scenes there is a full content workflow, with drafting, scheduling and analytics, plus authentication with social sign-in, email verification and two-factor security. Readers can interact with posts, comment and share to third-party platforms, and the whole site is responsive, accessible and SEO optimised. A generative writing assistant, powered by Vertex AI, is on hand to help speed up writing when David wants it.
A dedicated library of David's published works, each with its own page.
Create, edit and schedule posts from a private dashboard, with tracking analytics.
An optional Vertex AI powered assistant that helps draft and refine content.
Readers can switch between light and dark modes and customise the colour theme.
