OH HAI
It’s been a while since my last post, so I thought I’d update you on my current events…
Recently I began working for an IT support company (Storm-IT) – I’m nearly into my first month in fact!
Although some of my work there is naturally going to be desktop-based remote support and troubleshooting, both my line manager and the managing director are very supportive in facilitating diversification within my job role.
I work in a very talented team of individuals – even the female “Personal Assistant” to the Managing Director is not scared to get her hands dirty on a machine!
The atmosphere is very hospitable with none of the usual politics you’d find in an office environment (none that are clearly visible, anyway). Everyone works together to get problems solved, which is great because I’m confident that should I be on a call too long and run out of “clever” ideas, I can then escalate the support to another (just as enthusiastic) member of staff!
